| Details | From Mike, N2YBB: As you know, the EC-001 class was designed to be the basic training for all ARES members. At the request of K9SARCert team located on Long Island, who are now licensed hams, I agreed to run this ARRL approved class. Both Jim Mezey and I are ARRL EC-001 certified instructors and examiners. Pre-registration is required. All participants will be required to buy the EC-001 book from the ARRL as they will have prepare the modules BEFORE coming to class. All participants taking the certification exam will have to pay the $15 exam fee that is required by the League. North Shore/LIJ was kind enough to allow us the use of their facilities, which are located in Nassau County just past the Queens/Nassau border. The class is expected to fill up fast. Please reserve your seat right away. For more information, Required Material, and registration, please visit the section website YOU MUST ATTEND BOTH CLASSES! |
