| Details | On Saturday, June 12, 2010 the American Red Cross in Nassau County will be conducting a Regional Shelter Exercise, which will cover 20 shelters within Nassau County alone, and an in-process operation, the ARC EOC, and communications with other regional chapters who are also deploying in their counties. It will be a half day event beginning at 7:00 AM. The exercise ends at noon, and all are invited back to the Chapter for a “hot wash” or “lessons learned” meet and greet, to hear from others in the exercise that you did not see, and contribute you experiences for Emcomm’s continual improvement. Don’t be concerned if you are a new operator; of if you feel your equipment is too modest (or non-existent). Let us know what you can provide, even if it’s only your time, and we’ll team you up with someone who will get the job done with what you have. This will be fun! This will be a learning experience! This will help your community prepare for a disaster! Those who can attend please register for the event | ||||||||
